The AutoReel alternatives worth trying are VidListings, Amplifiles, Reel-E, MotionCasa, Villenza, PropWalk and HeyGen, and the right one depends on why you're leaving. AutoReel already has voiceover, voice cloning, captions and AI avatars, so agents usually switch for something else: starting from a Zillow link, paying per listing instead of a yearly plan, a stricter promise that rooms stay as photographed, a staging flow that keeps the original, or an avatar tool built around a listing link.
VidListings makes a listing video tool, mentioned below. We've tried to keep this guide useful whether or not you use it.
Quick picks, as of October 2026:
- Paste a Zillow link and keep rooms as photographed: VidListings.
- Keep a voiceover and add Zillow or MLS link import: Amplifiles.
- Keep a voiceover and captions, upload photos yourself: Reel-E.
- Pay per listing: MotionCasa at $19, or PropWalk at $39 one-off.
- The strictest "doesn't redecorate" promise: Villenza.
- An avatar presenter that starts from a Zillow link: HeyGen.
If you're choosing a first tool rather than switching, our comparison of the best AI real estate video makers covers twelve tools side by side.
Is AutoReel still around?
Yes. AutoReel is live at autoreelapp.com as of October 23, 2026, with current plans on its pricing page.
The confusion comes from old domains. autoreel.io now redirects to reelsy.ai, an unrelated tool for ecommerce product videos, and autoreel.ai doesn't load. If an old bookmark or link sent you to a product-video site, that's the likely source of the "AutoReel shut down" story. It didn't.
What does AutoReel offer today?
It's worth a fair look before you switch, because you may not need to. As of October 2026, AutoReel's site lists:
- AI photo-to-video, about 3 seconds per photo
- Upload, or import from Realtor.com
- Voiceover, including voice cloning, plus captions
- AI avatars
- Logos, text and music
- Portrait and landscape exports
- Virtual staging
Its pricing page shows yearly plans as a monthly price and counts videos per year: Essential is $30 a month for 20 videos a year, Growth $45 for 50, and Pro $82 for 100. There's a free plan and a 7-day trial with 3 watermark-free videos. A promo banner was showing when we checked, so these may be discounted prices. At the listed price, Essential comes to $360 a year for 20 videos, about $18 a video.
If you rely on voice cloning, AutoReel is hard to replace. None of the alternatives below mention voice cloning on the pages we checked.
Why do agents switch from AutoReel?
- Zillow and other portal links. AutoReel lists Realtor.com import. If your listings live on Zillow, Redfin or a UK or European portal, a tool that reads those links saves you the download-and-upload step.
- Per-listing pricing. A yearly plan with an annual video count suits steady volume. If you list a handful of homes a year, paying per listing can cost less.
- Room fidelity. Generative motion can invent details, such as a new doorway or a different view. A few tools now make an explicit promise not to change rooms. The AutoReel pages we checked don't state one either way.
- Staging that keeps the original. Some MLSs require the unaltered photo next to an altered one, such as CRMLS. A staging flow that never overwrites your original makes that easy. Our virtual staging guide covers the rules.
- A different avatar setup. AutoReel has avatars. HeyGen is built around them and starts from a listing link.

Which alternatives are worth trying?
Each one below fixes a specific reason to leave AutoReel, and each one costs you something.
VidListings
Switch if you want to paste a Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com or Rightmove link and have the photos, address, price, beds and baths pulled in. Each photo gets a 3-second camera move that doesn't add rooms, furniture or views; clips stay short because longer AI moves start inventing details. Staging (Restage) is opt-in, and the edited photo only replaces the original if you pick "Use this photo". More on the approach in our guide to AI real estate videos.
You give up voiceover, voice cloning, automatic captions and avatars. Any text on screen, you type yourself.
Amplifiles
Switch if you want to keep a voiceover, in 30+ languages, but start from a Zillow or MLS link instead of uploading.
You give up flat pricing. You pay per image, so longer videos cost more, and the site doesn't state a room-fidelity promise.
Reel-E
Switch if voiceover and captions matter most and you like motion that moves through the depth of each room.
You give up link import, since its listing URL page tells you to download and upload the photos, and a no-card trial: the 7-day trial asks for a card.
MotionCasa
Switch if you list a few homes a year and want to pay $19 per listing with no subscription.
You give up a free trial, longer videos (5 to 8 photos), AI clips above 720p, and any fidelity promise. Its own site warns that the AI may alter rooms, geometry and details.
Villenza
Switch if a misleading video is your biggest worry. It builds 38 camera moves from 3 to 5 photos of a room and says it won't round a corner to show a room you never photographed.
You give up staging, resolution above 720p, and volume: the Agent plan covers 1 listing a month. Voiceover isn't stated.
PropWalk
Switch if you want a one-off video for a single listing, or a tool that also manages your social posts. Its facts page says videos keep the same rooms, layout and finishes, and its staging adds furniture only, with a disclosure and the original.
You give up a no-card trial (the 3-day trial needs one), and free exports are 720p.
HeyGen
Switch if you liked AutoReel's avatars and want a presenter tool that starts from a Zillow, Redfin or MLS link.
You give up a listing-only focus. HeyGen is a general avatar video maker with real estate templates, and free videos are watermarked.
Which one should I pick?
Answer four questions and the list gets short.
- Do you need a voiceover? If yes, look at Amplifiles, Reel-E, HeyGen and Listing Reel Maker, or stay with AutoReel for voice cloning. If music and on-screen text are enough, every tool here works.
- Where do your listings live? On Zillow: VidListings, Amplifiles, PropWalk, HeyGen or Listing Reel Maker. On UK or European portals: VidListings reads Rightmove, Zoopla, idealista and ImmobilienScout24, and BetterSpace reads Rightmove.
- How many listings a year? A few: MotionCasa or PropWalk, per listing. Steady monthly volume: a monthly plan. Very high volume: see VideoTour.ai in our full comparison.
- How strict is your MLS about altered media? ARMLS Rule 8.23, for example, requires a "Digitally Altered" watermark or a note in the description on altered videos, with a $200 fine from December 2026. If rules like that apply to you, favor motion that doesn't change rooms and keep staging opt-in.
What should I check before I cancel AutoReel?
- Download the videos you want to keep. Do it before the plan ends.
- Check your renewal date. Plans are billed yearly, so time the switch.
- Test two alternatives on the same 5 photos: a mirror, big windows, a small bathroom, a kitchen and the exterior. Pause on the last frame of each clip and compare it to the original photo.
- Rebuild your brand kit. Logo, headshot, phone and colors, so the new videos match the old ones.
- Export an unbranded version for the MLS virtual tour field, which many MLSs require (Bright MLS).
If a Zillow link and accurate rooms are why you're switching, try VidListings free: 2 videos up to 15 seconds, no card needed.
